Mormon Church Makes Water Deal

Las Vegas is going to be able to draw water
from a river near Moapa under a deal with the Mormon
church.
The Southern Nevada Water Authority says it'll pay
$7.2 million dollars to the Church of Jesus Christ
of the Latter-day Saints to draw about two-thousand acre-feet of
water a year for the next 20 years.
An acre-foot's enough to serve a couple of households a year.
