A 29-year-old Sun Valley man who didn't want to go to jail is likely to be spending even more time behind bars after fleeing from state troopers.
Kenneth Henderson says he tried to get away from the speeding
stop because he is a new father and didn't want to be away from
Henderson fled from the attempted stop in Sun Valley and
abandoned his car after hitting a street sign on a cul-de-sac.
Washoe County deputies who responded to assist the trooper knew
where Henderson lives.
Troopers learned Henderson was wanted on a felony warrant for
failing to appear in drug court, a misdemeanor warrant for failing
to appear in court for a domestic battery charge and traffic
warrants. His driver's license also was suspended.
He was booked into the Washoe County Jail on suspicion of
driving on a suspended license, eluding police and causing property
damage and on the warrants.
