Washoe Credit Score Tops

Washoe County now has the highest credit rating of any government in northern Nevada.
Standard and Poor's upped the rating from A-plus to
double-A-minus.
The rating is a measure of the county's economy and county
government's financial stability and should result in future bonds
being sold at a lower interest rate, saving taxpayers money.
Standard and Poor's rates Reno at A-plus. Sparks is not rated
because it's not active in the bond market.
Clark County has the highest rating for local governments at
double-A.
