Nearly one hundred soldiers, from the Nevada Army Guard, are talking for the first time...after losing five men last year, while fighting the war in Afghanistan.
From our area, Chief Warrant Officer John Flynn and Sergeant Patrick Stewart were killed,..when their Chinook helicopter was shot down by enemy fire.
The words "welcome home" never sounded sweeter...for members of the 113th Aviation Company of the Army National Guard.
Some thought...they would never make it back.
They've been overseas for the past 18 months...fighting the war in Afghanistan.
A fight that still haunts them today.
Guard members say September 25th was the worst day of their mission...which included moving cargo, fueling aircraft, and helping with the country's *first ever elections.
