Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Recent Burglaries In Johnson Lane Area.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating three recent burglaries in the Johnson Lane area of Douglas County. These burglaries occurred during the early morning hours between July 5 and July 7, 2008. In each of these cases, the residents were at home when the thefts occurred.

The Sheriff’s Office is strongly urging all residents to secure their homes and vehicles, regardless of if you are home or not. Residents are also encouraged to report any unknown or suspicious persons in the area. The Sheriff’s Office will investigate these reports to determine if the persons should be in the area.

The community is best equipped to notice what or who should or should not be in the area. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says vigilance can prevent these types of crimes from occurring.
