Starting this Spring, more than 120-thousand seedlings will be planted in the Waterfall Fire burn area in Carson City.
The US Forest Service says the Jeffery and Ponderosa Pine trees will help stabilize the land from erosion and help improve watershed conditions.
Half of the trees planted over a 430 acre section of charred land will be protected from the elements with a plastic shelter to ensure growth.
