A truck driver is counting his blessings this morning, after an accident totals his vehicle. It happened around 3:30 A.M.
Police say the driver was heading eastbound on Interstate 80, between the Patrick Power Plant and Fernley. He drifted off the road near the Orchard exit, striking the guardrail. Preliminary reports show the truck spun around, crossed lanes and then took out 150 yards of guardrail on the other side!
The driver walked away unharmed.
Commuters can expect the road to be closed for about an hour. Both on and off ramps of the Orchard exit will be delayed. The clean up is expected to be done sometime in the 5:00 A.M. hour.
Police are still investigating the wreck.
