ELKO, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol says an Elko teenager was killed when he lost control of his car and was struck by a semi on Interstate 80.
Jordan Lamb, 19, was taken to a hospital where he died following the accident Friday near Winnemucca.
Investigators say Lamb was entering the interstate when his 2006 Suzuki drifted off the eastbound on-ramp and struck a road marker.
The vehicle overturned on its top and was struck by a semi.
Authorities are investigating whether drugs and alcohol may have been factors in the crash.
The truck driver was not injured.
