A teen was arrested on suspicion of firing shots at some Reno firefighters after they caught him spraying graffiti on a wall, officers said.
Firefighters in a passing engine saw someone spray-painting
graffiti Friday night in north Reno.
After the firefighters told the teen to stop and leave, police
said, he threw the spray-paint can at them and pulled a gun.
The youth is accused of firing once at the ground, once in the
air and twice at the firefighters. No one was injured.
The suspect then ran into a nearby Tripp Drive apartment, where
he was later taken into custody.
The suspect, whose name was not released, has ties to gangs,
