Reno Police Put the Brakes on Illegal Drag Racing
Reno Reno police are cracking down on illegal street racing, targeting participants and spectators in an effort dubbed Operation Dragnet.

Reno police are cracking down on illegal street racing, targeting participants and spectators in an effort dubbed Operation Dragnet.
Over the weekend officers issued more than 50 tickets for
various offenses in Southeast Reno.
Reno police say 23 tickets were issued for spectators prohibited
at illegal speed contests.
Fifteen citations were issued for curfew violations and 10 for
various traffic and equipment violations to drivers.
Additionally, police say one person was cited for contributing
to the delinquency of a minor and another for careless driving.
Two tickets were issued for registration violations.
Police say efforts to curb illegal street racing will continue
in other areas around the city.
