Radio Host Named In Pot Indictment

A Reno radio talk show host has been indicted
on federal charges of conspiring with his son to grow and
distribute marijuana and launder the proceeds through his
businesses.
Fifty-eight year old Walter Edward Floyd, who goes by "Eddie,"
is the host of "Nevada and America Matters," a talk show aired on
K-B-D-B-AM.
The U-S attorney's office says Floyd was arrested by Drug
Enforcement Agents yesterday (Wednesday) and charged with two
counts of conspiracy to manufacture and distribute marijuana, one
count of conspiracy to launder monetary instruments and 18 counts
of laundering monetary instruments.
He is scheduled to appear before a U.S. magistrate today.
In an indictment handed up by a grand jury, Floyd and his son,
Joshua Floyd, are accused of setting up a pot farm on 263 acres in
Doyle, California and arranging to distribute the crop to Kentucky.
