Actor Ashton Kutcher is among a group of investors planning to launch a restaurant in the current Reno Hilton when it is reborn as a hotel-condominium-casino.
Plans to open Dolce would introduce Reno to the same Italian
cuisine of its Melrose Avenue location in Hollywood.
Grand Sierra Resort Corp. President Thomas Schrade said the
restaurant could attract Hollywood hobnobbers with its celebrity
investors, including Kutcher, who plays Michael Kelso on "That 70s
Show."
He is married to actress Demi Moore.
Other celebrity investors in the Hollywood and Reno Dolce
restaurants are Danny Masterson and Wilmer Valderrama - Hyde and
Fez on "That 70s Show" - Chris Masterson, who's Francis on
"Malcolm in the Middle", and Jamie Kennedy of "The Jamie Kennedy
Experiment".
Grand Sierra Resort officials announced in May their plans to
buy the Hilton for $150 million, convert it to hotel-condominiums
and build the largest indoor water park in the county on the
property.
The Hilton, northern Nevada's largest hotel-casino with 1,995
rooms, will be renamed Grand Sierra Resort.
