Non-restricted gambling has a new meaning in Sparks.
Non-restricted gambling refers to casinos with more than 15 slot
machines and any table game.
The new definition includes a hotel with more than 200 rooms --
at least one bar with permanent seating capacity for more than 30
patrons -- at least one restaurant with permanent seating for more
than 60 patrons that is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week
-- and a gaming area.
The Council also voted that non-restricted gambling will be
limited to tourist commercial land use designations adjacent to the
Interstate 80 corridor and the Truckee River, as well as the city's
redevelopment areas.
