Arson Fire Investigation

A deadly casino fire in Las Vegas, more than twenty years ago, may have helped save lives in last night's fire...at the Sands Regency in Reno.
Fire investigators suspect arson.
Smoke was seen coming out of the linen closet on the ninth floor of the hotel.
Fire alarms alerted security.
We remember back in 1980...the fire at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
It killed 84 people, and injured 679 others.
Local building officials say since then...they've required ALL high rise buildings, over 55 feet, to have sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
The Sands has both a fire sprinkler and alarm systems.
