New Storm to Cause Flood Problems

Forecasters say a storm that's expected to move into the Sierra and western Nevada late tomorrow is likely tobe the wettest one of the current series.
Wettest by far.
While it will start as snow, the levels will rise quickly to
eight-thousand feet in the Sierra by tomorrow afternoon.
The current outlook is for as much as six to eight inches of
precipitation in the mountains by Saturday, and that will mean
stream flooding.
The weather service says the Susan River near Susanville is
expected to exceed flood stage and a flood watch will be issued
from Lassen County Mono County in the Sierra.
The watch will include the Reno-Carson City area, where heavy
rain tomorrow night and Saturday could produce one to two inches of
water.
