21 Drivers Arrested Over the Thanksgiving Holiday in Reno-Sparks, 12 DUI

A total of 21 motorists were arrested in the greater Reno-Sparks area by the Nevada Highway Patrol over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Twelve of the arrests were for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs with one being a felony DUI. Eight others were for misdemeanor traffic warrants stemming from failing to appear for a traffic citation or failure to comply with the court.

One person was arrested for failure to maintain travel lane, felony possession of a schedule I & II controlled substance with the intent to sell, trafficking, and conspiracy to violate the uniformed controlled substance act.

Last year on this same holiday, a total of twenty-one motorists and one pedestrian were arrested. Those arrests included ten for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, ten for warrants, one stolen vehicle, and one pedestrian for felony probation violation.
