The committee charged with finding a new president for the University of Nevada, Reno is scheduled to hold its first meeting on Jan. 6 in Reno.
The committee, which will search for a successor to UNR
President John Lilley, will be chaired by Regent Stavros Anthony.
Regents Jill Derby, Thalia Dondero, Doug Hill, Howard Rosenberg
and Dorothy Gallagher also will serve on the committee.
Lilley will leave Jan. 2 to lead his alma mater, Baylor
University in Texas.
Anthony said the committee probably will select a professional
search committee to conduct a national search for candidates.
Input also will be sought from an advisory committee made up of
UNR faculty representatives, administrators, students and others.
The nominee must be approved by the 13-member Board of Regents.
