A task force formed to improve morale at the University of Nevada, Reno is recommending that the school hire an ombudsman to serve as a mediator among faculty, staff and administrators.
U-N-R's Faculty Senate voted to accept that recommendation and
eight others submitted in a report presented by its Morale Task
Force.
The report also calls for annual evaluations of U-N-R's
president and the provost by the university's deans and vice
presidents.
The task force's recommendations will be submitted to Provost
John Frederick and interim President Joe Crowley.
The former president was appointed to the interim job to succeed
John Lilley, who is leaving to head Baylor University in Texas.
