It's an early Christmas present for Nevada motorists -- especially ones who are planning a trip over the holidays.
Gasoline prices are down again across the state -- ranging from
25 cents a gallon in Las Vegas to a whopping 42 cents in Elko
compared with last month.
That's three straight months the prices tracked by Triple-A
Nevada have declined.
Triple-A spokesman Michael Geeser doesn't expect the drop to be
as marked next month. He says the decline has slowed in the past
The decrease means that motorists in Las Vegas and Elko are
paying the same average price for a gallon of unleaded at two
dollars and 17 cents.
Reno's price is down 30 cents from a month ago to two dollars
and 32 cents.
In Henderson, it's two dollars and 21 cents -- down 26 cents.
Sparks has lost 29 cents a gallon to two dollars and 31 cents and
Carson City is at two dollars and a quarter, down 28 cents
