Douglas County District Attorney Scott Doyle has announced he will not seek re-election to a fifth term next year.
Doyle said he wants to spend more time with his wife, Jill, at
their summer cabin.
"It has been an honor to serve the people of Douglas County for
four terms," Doyle said.
Doyle, a former assistant attorney general for Nevada and deputy
district attorney for Clark County, was reluctant to discuss his
"Given the wide range of legal activities the district
attorney's office is involved in, it is inappropriate for me to
make professional plans before I leave office," he said.
Doyle first won election in 1990 and was re-elected in 1994,
1998 and 2002 without opposition.
