An online survey of 17-thousand consumers says...Americans plan to spend more on charitable causes this Christmas.
Millions poured out their hearts and their wallets after Hurricane Katrina.
It also says people are planning fewer trips to the mall.
These are the folks who are doing their shopping on-line.
Also, one out of three shoppers says gas prices will factor in their decision to shop online...rather than drive to the store.
The survey also points out...gift cards remain the number one gift purchase this year.
