Consider it an early Christmas present...the DMV made a mistake and gave some seniors two rebate checks.
They got the 75-dollar checks in the mail Saturday.
Several had already received a check from the state.
They had a car registered last year, but also were over 65 with a Nevada driver's license.
The Governor's office says it wasn't uncommon for seniors to get two checks...if they qualified under legislative guidelines.
But, admits some didn't deserve two checks.
The Governor's office is happy to take the checks back if it made an error...but you won't get in trouble if you've already cashed the second check.
