Avalanche danger is high in the Sierra...and skiers and snow boarders are being advised to stay out of the back country.
The Tahoe Ranger district had an avalanche forecaster out today...checking areas above eight thousand feet.
He says the potential for a slide...stretches from Yuba Pass all the way down to the Sonora pass, along the Sierra crest.
The problem...a weak snow pack combined with gusty winds and heavy snow.
