RENO, NV.--Care Chest of Sierra Nevada is holding an annual fundraiser called "C*A*R*E Chest Executive Kidnap" to raise money for medical resource programs.
On Thursday March 7, local business and community leaders will be "kidnapped" and solicit a ransom to raise money.
Every dollar pledged to help a kidnapped participant meet his or her fund raising goal will go directly to Care Chest's programs, which serve local children and adults.
Care Chest is a non-profit organization that provides free medical equipment and supplies to Northern Nevadans in need.
This year's event features a "mobster" theme and the goal is to raise $75,000.
