RENO, Nev. (AP) - Police say a Massachusetts man is facing an open murder charge after he allegedly strangled another man to death at a Reno motel.
Karl Schenker, 43, was arrested Wednesday for the death of Brent G. Peeck, 30, of Reno, police said.
Investigators said Schenker and Peeck had met earlier in the day at a bar and returned to the motel together.
Authorities responded to the motel on a report of a man not breathing later that morning.
According to police, Schenker and Peeck had a physical altercation.
An autopsy on Wednesday confirmed the cause of death as strangulation.
Police said Schenker was booked on suspicion of open murder and
was being held without bail.
