Contract talks are to resume Saturday between operators of the Reno-area bus system and drivers.
Both sides say they remain far apart on wage, pension and health insurance benefits.
But they also say they're prepared to negotiate round-the-clock with the aid of a federal mediator to try to reach a deal before the current contract expires June 11.
About 200 drivers and dispatchers are represented by Teamsters Union Local 533.
Union members have already authorized a strike, but officials a strike is not inevitable if a contract is not reached by the deadline.
