After spending more than a year in Iraq and Kuwait, 130 Nevada Army Guard soldiers are home.
About 30 of the guardsmen and women landed in Reno on Monday night, the others were taken to Henderson where the unit is based.
They're part of the Nevada Army Guard's 1864th Medium Transportation Company that was deployed back in August of 2004 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The guardsmen were based in Kuwait, and their primary mission was to drive cargo, ammunition and other equipment in and out of Iraq on tractors and trailers. The unit came under hostile fire several times during their deployment.
