Washoe County Authorities Arrest Two For Growing Marijuana

Two people are facing drug charges after Washoe County sheriff's deputies found what they say was a large marijuana growing operation at their rural home.

An investigation began after the sheriff's office was contacted by school police concerning a report that a student had brought marijuana to school.

Officers searched a Cold Springs home, where authorities said they found rooms full of marijuana plants and bags of marijuana leaves.

Clinton Wayne Ferrell, 46, and his wife, Valera Ferrell, 42, were arrested at the home Friday on various drug-related charges, authorities said.
