A new poll finds fewer than half of Nevada
residents rating President Bush's performance as good or excellent.
Fifty-nine percent of the 625 voters reached statewide by
telephone last weekend for the Las Vegas Review-Journal poll called
Bush's performance fair or poor.
The 41 percent who rated the president's performance excellent
or good was the lowest in recent polls for the newspaper.
They reflect Bush's low ratings in polls nationally.
The new survey was conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling and Research
of Washington, D-C. It had a sampling error margin of plus or minus
four percentage points.
