SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - A 35-year-old motorcyclist was killed in Sparks when he skidded into the back of stopped pickup on an Interstate 80 off-ramp.

Randy Richard Olson of Reno died Thursday night from the injuries he suffered in the accident about 7 p.m.

The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt. The wreck closed the Pyramid Way off ramp for about 2.5 hours.

The incident remains under investigation but the Nevada Highway Patrol says Olson appears to have been going too fast.
