SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Officials say 19 people have been taken to the hospital after a light-rail train collided with a van in San Francisco.
San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency spokesman Paul Rose says the van made an illegal left turn around 1 p.m. Saturday as a T-Line train was slowing for a stop in the city's Bayview District.
Fire officials say eight people suffered moderate injuries and 11 others had minor injuries.
Rail service was suspended for about three hours while crews cleaned up the wreckage. Investigators planned to take a look at surveillance videos, while the train's driver will be tested for drugs and alcohol as part of the probe.
