SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (AP) - Police say the death of an 18-year-old woman found floating in Lake Tahoe appears to be accidental.

But police say they won't know for sure until an autopsy of Deyana Loranca of South Lake Tahoe is completed.

Loranca, a 2007 graduate of South Tahoe High School, was found
early Friday morning.

Attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.

Friends described her as a kind, generous person who had recently landed a job and planned to attend college soon.

An investigation continues into the death.

tell the full story of how a domestic fight was going on in the house from where she ran and how she ran into the police car before running down the road and the cops did nothing to stop her. I live right next to where this happened and the neigborhood sucks because of drunks and junkies. The cops should have apprehended this girl as she was by there car before running off, and this poor girl would still be alive. Its sad how cops want more money, but do less work and drive nice cars. Sit at starbucks and run red lights. But they could not save this girl?
