Nevada Wildlife Biologists Recommend Fewer Elk, Deer tags
Nevada wildlife biologists are recommending fewer hunting tags this year for elk, deer and antelope after wildfires, drought and a harsh winter in some areas led to poor survival rates for fawns and calves.

Subject (MULE DEER) I was born and raised in the Douglas County . I use to do alot of hunting . When I first starting hunting I was able to get a Deer Tag every other year that was known as a Preferencile Tag and now it takes forever to get a Deer Tag so I have given up trying to get a Tag. Now when I use to go hunting with my dad he would tell me stories about when he use to hunt deer when he was younger. Cause like myself he grew up in the Douglas County area. So now im going to get to the point my Dad said that they got a tag every year. But here is the kicker they could only hunt 3points or better that ment that the spikes and forkies had a chance to grow up and help populate the herds what a consept. So I would like to suggest that you take a look at that. Cause it just might help build the herds up again. So then more people might get to go hunting for deer again. It might take a few years to get the herds back like they use to, but look at how many years it takes to get a tag.
