A man wanted in the shooting of another man in Fernley has surrendered in Elko County.

The Lyon County sheriff's office said Dustin Fryling, 22, of Fernley turned himself in Tuesday morning at the Elko County sheriff's office.

Lyon County Capt. Allen Veil said Fryling is being held under $100,000 bail on a Lyon County charge of attempted murder.

David Hightower, 27, of Fernley remained in critical condition after being shot in the face. Veil said he had a bullet lodged near his spine.

Deputies responded to a home in Fernley Friday morning where they found Hightower, who had been shot after a fight.

Veil says Lyon County sheriff's officers were arranging to transport Fryling to jail in Yerington.
