The Bureau of Reclamation, the owners of the Truckee Canal, will hold a pubic informational meeting to provide updates on the current and future operations of the Truckee Canal.
Ever since the January 5th canal breach was repaired, the Bureau has restricted water flows to 150 cubic feet per second, well below the canal's capacity and seasonal irrigation flows. The Bureau has given the canal's operator, the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District, a list of things that need to be done before flows can be increases.
Thursday's meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Lahontan Elementary School's multi-purpose room.
