I have been feeling small quakes all day. It's about 9:00 pm Sat. I do believe that there will possibly be a bigger one coming here soon and it is somewhat concerning. Everytime the earth shakes I get a hot flash of blood through my body and I feel as if I am going to just pass out a little. My children are so ancy all the time about another one happening. It seems as though it really happens right when I'm about to fall asleep. I was told not to worry until things start falling and to stay away from windows when it happens and stand in a doorway. It's hard not to worry when this type of environmental activity as happening now when it has never really happened here before. I do recall however about 18 yrs ago when I was 15 and living in downtown Reno on 6th St.

I'm originally from SoCal. I experienced a 7.5 back in the 80's. I was glad when I left CA. I thought I wouldn't have to experience any more quakes. I was wrong. Last night's shaker really reminded me of the one's I grew up with. The fact, they are getting bigger rather than smaller is a major concern to me. They should be getting smaller.

The one last night woke us up out of a dead sleep. My wife's Lladro figures fell over, including the 2000 millennium special edition... That was costly. They are all going back into the boxes until these tremblers mellow out. I was in the Bay Area on Oct 17, 1989 for the 7.1... I thought we got away from them. I guess as the earth heats up we are going to get more seismic activity as the earth's crust moves more. We are just gonna have to deal with it. I'll take an earthquake over a tornado any day of the week.

I had just closed my eyes to feel the bed rolling I thought it was on of our pets but in deed it wasn't I looked at the clock and it showed 11:41. 4.2...we can feel it in Fernley!

At 11:40 pm, the quake woke us from a sound sleep. Our house rattled and creaked for 10-20 seconds. We thought it was one of our frequent small local quakes and were surprised to fine that it was from the Mogul swarm. We wonder whats next?

This is cause for concern, I was present for the 1989 Loma Prieta Quake In CA. I never want to be in the middle of that again. The fishers were 3 feet wide and 50 feet long on Summit road, and the after shocks kept me up for 3 days. I remember the jolt, imagine you are in the elevator on the top floor at the Atlantis Casino and you suddenly drop, that is what it was like for the after shock... I will never forget the anxiety. There has been talk about a volcano amongst the Natives around here.... please comment on this issue ..

WOW, 11:45 pm or so and THAT quake shook my house and rattled things all the way here! It's the first one from Reno that I've really felt to any degree. I wonder if all of this activity has any relation to the long-time dormant volcanoes around our CA/NV area? I have been in some large earthquakes in the CA Bay Area years ago. This is the first NV one that's gotten my attention!

The earthquake was felt at approximately 3:50 and 3:55 pm Thursday, April 24. No damage, just a good shake. I could not find the link to report the seismic activity to the appropriate facility.

My wife felt the 3:45 one in Sun Valley on 4-24-08, while I felt both with my 2 boys of 17 and 9 on the 2nd floor of Washoe High on 2nd street in Reno. The Builing shook pretty good both times when the 4 pointers hit.
