Convicted sex offender in Fallon pleads not guilty to child porn

A convicted sex offender in Fallon has pleaded not guilty to hundreds of child sex charges in Churchill County District Court.

41-year-old Daniel DeWayne Green has been jailed since November on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender, resisting an officer and a warrant from Oregon.

Tuesday, he pleaded not guilty to one count of lewdness with a child under the age of 14, four counts of use of a minor as a subject in the production of pornography, three counts of unlawfully obtaining and using the personal identification of another to harm a person and 265 counts of possession of visual pornography of a person under 16 years of age.

Green also pleaded not guilty to the previous charges of failing to register as a sex offender and lewdness with a child.

The investigation began in November when a woman reported seeing
young boys regularly visiting Green's trailer home.

Judge Leon Aberasturi says that Green may be required to undergo
a sexual-review evaluation.
