Reno Police Officer Bit By Dog, Has Handgun Pointed At Him

A Reno Police officer is recovering this morning, after being bit by a dog while on a call last night.

Clovis County, California police contacted the Reno Police Department to see if a man named Mark Miller lived on Whitaker Way. Apparently he had been making threatening calls to a California business. When the officer arrived, he was bit by a dog. Then, police say, Mark Miller approached him with a handgun. The suspect eventually put the gun down and was arrested.

The officer, whose name has not been released, did not have to be treated for the dog bite.
