An apartment complex in the northwest part of Reno was the scene of the latest hot prowl burglary. That's where police say the suspect, among other things, has been watching women both recently and last March. He's described as a 24 to 29-year-old man with a tan or olive complexion and short hair.
Lt. Ron Donnelly from the Reno Police Department says in both cases the suspect stared at the women.
Police are hoping to apprehend the suspect quickly because they feel his behavior could lead to a crime more sexual in nature.
For the same reason, police are hoping to nab a white male in his late 20s. He's described as having a thin build, short brown hair and a mark in hairline near forehead.
He's wanted for posing as a hot tub repairman, entering a woman's home on Wendy Way and stealing valuables. Police say the burglar is very persistent. He has since returned twice to the home to harass the same female victim.
As burglary crimes are more prevalent in the summer months, Reno Police advise us all to take some simple precautions, like not let someone in your home you don't know, and it's never a good idea to leave doors and windows open at night.
