Mexican authorities are still searching for a convicted sex offender, believed to have kidnapped a Fernley girl last week. Lyon County Sheriff's Capt. Greg Page told News Channel 8 his office has a Mexico liason. " They wanted all the press releases and photos we have. They take everything and translated them into Spanish. The Mexican authorities then get that out to the public," Page said. Eight-year-old Lydia Bethany-Rosei Rupp has been missing since Friday. Deputies say she has been seen this week with her kidnapper in Tijuana, Mexico. 47-year old Fernando Aguero is believed to have taken the girl from her home, and across international borders before an Amber Alert was ever issued. He told his family he planned on dropping off Bethany safely at a Christian church in Mexico so she could be returned to Fernley. But, he so far has not followed through on that promise.
