Reno Police say 38-year-old Willard Brymer Junior was sitting in the park with a woman.That's when police say 51-year old Kevin Kramer--who was walking his three dogs--came near the couple.
Officers say one of the dogs started barking at the couple, which started a physical fight between Brymer and Kramer.
Police say Kramer shot Brymer in the chest and then called 9-1-1.
Kramer did have a permit to carry the gun.
Brymer is in critical condition at Washoe Medical Center.
No arrests have been made.
