RENO (KOLO) -- Aloha Airlines says it's shutting down. The airline will still be flying some of its flights on Monday.

A spokesman for the Reno-Tahoe International Airport says Aloha had offered two daily flights through Reno. It's not known if those flights will be cancelled Monday.

The shut down comes after the airline failed to find a buyer or secure financing.

About 19-hundred employees are affected. The number of employees in Reno affected was not immediately available.

If you've booked tickets on Aloha, you're advised to contact the airline.

The special education class at Bennet elementary in Sun Valley raised almost 12,000.00 dollars to go to Disneyland next week. More than half of that money was used for airline tickets purchased from Aloha airlines. For the majority of these children this would have been their only opportunity to ever do this. How do you explain chapter 11 to a mentaly disabled child?
