"Love Ranch" Brings Love to Reno
Reno Traveling back in time...thirty years. That was the case Tuesday for much of Reno's downtown district. Filming of the 1970's era movie, "Love Ranch," continued in downtown Reno. While the film brought with it some big-name stars, including Joe Pesci and Academy Award winner Helen Mirren, film commissioners say it may also leave something behind...money. I submitted my car photos to Integrity Casting in Reno NV and got into the movie. It was a 20 hour day, my 79 Olds Cutlass ran great. I was given 70's clothing to wear.
A better title for this might be 'Love Ranch brings money to Reno.' Even that is a debatable premise for this story. But less ludicrous than a revisionist story about Conforte bringing love to Nevada.
i have a vintage 1974 winnebago bravo in perfect running order with only 64,000 miles on it. how do i contact love ranch to see if they are interested in using it for the movie.vjb
According to the story, the director of this movie insist on authenticty and so they are filming here in Reno. But to be truly authentic, why post a 'limited engagement' show by 'The Captain & Tenille' on the marquee at Fitzgerald's Casino when that particular property has NEVER had a showroom?
