RENO, Nev. (AP) - Sales of existing homes in Washoe County saw a
slight increase in February, compared with the month before.
The Center for Regional Studies says existing sales for single-family homes rose by 1.4 percent. There were 146 resales in February, two more than the prior month.
Median sale prices also rose, from $290,000 in January to $295,250 in February.
Sales of existing condominiums saw an even bigger increase, with 51 resales in February compared to 44 in January, a 15.9 percent increase. Median prices for existing condos increased 6.5 percent from $218,250 in January to $232,400 in February.
Reno-area real estate agents say the uptick is reason for cautious optimism.
