A Washoe County jury came back Tuesday with a $590 million judgement against Darren Mack, the former wealthy pawn shop owner convicted of killing his wife and shooting the couple's divorce judge.
Under the award in the wrongful death lawsuit, $560 million will go to the couple's young daughter, Erika, and $30 million will go to the estate of Mack's slain wife, according to a court spokesman.
Darren Mack was sentenced last month to life in prison with possible parole after 36 years.
He pleaded guilty to the crime, but has since sought to withdraw his pleas and stand trial.
A judge has previously denied those motions, but another hearing on the arguments is scheduled for next month.
