4 Dead in Rural Nevada Crash

RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol says four people were killed in a head-on crash in eastern Nevada.

The victims included three members of one family from the Elko area.

According to the patrol, a pickup driven by Jay Wright, 28, was heading south on U.S. 93.

About 70 miles south of Wells, he apparently lost control on the wet, slushy road Saturday and crashed head on into another pickup that was hauling a big trailer.

Wright, his 1-year-old son, and his sister, 26-year-old Jami Wright, died at the scene.

The patrol says the driver of the other truck, 51-year-old Leslie Ivan, of Alberta, Canada, also was killed.
