The Carson City Sheriff's Office says they have a possible new lead, on who may have set the Spooner Summit Fire.
The fire caused similar devastation to what you see now on the screen.
Detectives say a woman traveling from the lake eastbound on Highway 50 broke down, possibly with a flat tire, along the road around 10:30-to-11:30 in the morning, on Monday June 20th.
She was driving a white Pontiac Grand Am type car, according to the investigators, and she may have been wearing a back brace.
Sgt. Bob White, with the Carson City Sheriff's Office, says she may have seen something or noticed someone without ever realizing what she was witnessing.
Investigators say she is not a suspect, but she may have seen or even talked to someone who might have even more information to share about the fire.
