Train Narrowly Misses Bicyclist

NEAR SPARKS (KOLO) -- A rail-line was been shut down after a bicyclist had to jump from the path of a train East of Sparks.
Sparks Police and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office responded to a section of tracks just off I-80, East of the intersection of I-80 and Vista Blvd.
SPD says two people were bicycling in the area, and one attempted to cross the Truckee River on a train bridge -- that person then had to jump off the bridge and out of the way of an on-coming train.
Authorities say the bicyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The person was put into the back of a pick-up truck and driven to an ambulance waiting on I-80.
SPD says the bicyclists may face charges of trespassing.
