Regents Approve New TMCC President

RENO, Nev. (AP) - A former Southern California college administrator been named president of Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno.

Nevada regents unanimously approved the appointment of Maria C.
Sheehan during a special meeting Monday.

Sheehan retired last August as superintendent/president of Desert Community College District in Palm Desert, California.

Under a three-year contract, she will earn an annual salary of $198,000, plus a 4 percent cost-of-living increase.

Effective June 23, the contract, also includes a yearly $8,000 automobile allowance, $12,000 housing allowance and $5,000 host account.

She replaces Phillip Ringle, who left last year because of health reasons.
