Reno, NV — Early Saturday morning, officers responded to the 300 block of Broadway Blvd to reports of a vehicle burglary in progress.
Further investigation revealed that the victim noticed the suspect inside of his vehicle attempting to steal his stereo. The victim retrieved a legally owned firearm, and held the burglar at gunpoint until police arrived.
Police arrested 20-year-old Jairo Aguiar-Perez for Vehicle Burglary and a Parole & Probation hold. Police say Aguiar-Perez has a previous conviction for Robbery with a Deadly Weapon.
